7 Ways to Volunteer with Catalyst this Summer
Whether you need community service hours or are just looking for a meaningful way to give back, Catalyst has you covered! Check out these opportunities and reach out if you find something that peaks your interest.
#1 Movin' and Groovin'
Every 3rd Saturday we are taking a team down to Central Austin as we pick up gently used furniture donations and deliver them to families in need. Join us and experience the excitement families have as they receive furniture - often for the first time ever!
#2 Serve at Equinox
Every Thursday you can find us at Anderson Terrace as we connect with young adults around Austin. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to cook a meal, greet, pray, sing, help us set up/clean up and more. Come experience this first as a visitor and you'll be hooked.
If you are into art, come check out some of the unique ways you can express yourself at one of our rhythm stations and imagine yourself encouraging others as they create!
#3 Serve at Anderson Terrace
Each week we spend time working on projects at Anderson Terrace, the home of Equinox. This is a great opportunity to burn some calories, pick up community service hours and support our newest community partner!
#4 Serve At-Risk Students @ Williamson County Juvenile Center
On July 25th we will be looking to take a team of adults into the detention center at Williamson County to walk students through the Catalyst Purpose Project Express Edition. This is a mentoring opportunity unlike one you may have ever been a part of. It will be powerful for you and them.
Must be 18 or older for this one.
#5 Attend a Catalyst Board Meeting
Over the summer we will have a few board meetings which provide a great way for volunteers to learn more about the inner workings of Catalyst and what they can to do get involved. We have Voting and Advisory board positions open and your gifts and passions may be the exact thing we have been praying for!
#6 Write a Blog for us
Let your voice and wisdom be heard! Whether you are adult or student, we are looking to post more content from within our own community. Our blogs are aimed at encouraging and equipping teens, young adults, parents and pastors in a variety of different ways. If you have a talent for writing and a passion for a particular subject please get with us!
#7 Be a guest on our Podcast
